Glasgow-based technology company Chemify has secured £22 million in public funding to support an £89.9 million expansion that could create up to 300 highly skilled jobs over the next three years.

The funding from Scottish Enterprise and the UK Government will support Chemify's plans to expand its operations in Glasgow and develop its digital chemistry technology.

Chemify operates at the intersection of chemistry, artificial intelligence and automation, with its technology designed to accelerate the development and production of chemical compounds.

The investment represents another significant development for Scotland's growing technology and advanced-science sector. The planned expansion is expected to create specialist employment opportunities while increasing the company's research and development capacity.

The project also highlights growing public-sector support for high-tech businesses, advanced manufacturing and science-led economic growth in Scotland.

With the UK seeking to strengthen its position in emerging technologies, Chemify's Glasgow expansion adds to the country's wider focus on innovation, research, skilled jobs and technology investment.
