British artificial intelligence infrastructure company Nscale is moving toward a major US stock-market listing, putting the UK’s rapidly expanding AI technology sector in the spotlight.

The London-headquartered company has filed registration documents for a proposed listing on the New York Stock Exchange, where it plans to trade under the symbol NSCL.

Nscale develops AI infrastructure combining data centres, computing capacity, power infrastructure and software. The company has expanded rapidly as demand for computing resources used to train and operate artificial intelligence systems has increased.

According to its IPO filing, Nscale reported $140.6 million in revenue during the first half of 2026, representing a 1,252% increase from the same period a year earlier. The company also reported a $1.02 billion net loss, reflecting the substantial investment required to build its AI infrastructure.

The company said its active and contracted total contract value had reached $103.4 billion by the end of August 2026. Its expansion includes plans for a much larger data-centre and computing footprint to support AI customers.

The planned listing puts Nscale among a growing group of technology companies seeking capital to expand AI computing infrastructure. The development also highlights the increasing importance of AI data centres, GPUs and high-performance computing to the UK's technology industry.
