A unique overnight experience inside one of Oxford’s most historic landmarks is up for grabs as Oxford Castle Prison marks two decades since opening its doors to visitors.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the attraction’s official opening by Queen Elizabeth II in May 2006, Oxford Castle Prison has partnered with Malmaison Oxford to offer one lucky winner and a guest an exclusive stay blending history, luxury, and adventure.

The prize gives visitors the rare opportunity to spend a night inside a former prison setting but with the comforts and style of a boutique hotel experience.

As part of the package, winners will receive a private guided tour of Oxford Castle Prison, where they can explore nearly 1,000 years of history. The experience includes access to the historic prison wings, the underground crypt, and the chance to climb St George’s Tower for panoramic views across Oxford.

Organisers say the competition aims to showcase the attraction’s rich heritage while giving guests an unforgettable way to experience one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
