A four-year-old girl has died in hospital after falling from a tower block in Barking, east London, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to an address on St Paul's Road at around 11am on Saturday, 24 October. Police attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, whose crews treated the child before taking her to a major trauma centre.
The girl later died from her injuries. Police said the circumstances were still being investigated, but the incident was not currently believed to be suspicious.
Emergency responders provided treatment at the scene, with specialist ambulance personnel also attending.
The Metropolitan Police has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Anyone who may be able to assist is asked to contact police on 101.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the fall.
