The Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt following the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Erdem Mustafa at a pub in Enfield, north London, as detectives appeal for information to help trace a man they urgently want to question.

Police said Mustafa was shot at a pub on Hertford Road at approximately 9.30pm on Monday, 19 October. Emergency crews attended, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On 26 October, detectives announced that a 23-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. He remained in police custody at the time of the announcement.

Investigators are also seeking Abreham Woldegiworgis, 35, in connection with the investigation. Police believe the shooting was a targeted attack and say the man they want to trace may have significantly changed his appearance since CCTV images were released.

Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile-phone footage to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact the Metropolitan Police on 101, quoting reference CAD 7050/19OCT26, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Police have advised the public not to approach the man being sought, but to contact officers immediately if they see him.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not announced any charges in connection with the latest arrest.
